Exocet Build Guide

NC Mating the Chassis

Getting the kit home

A long wheel base van is recommended Although it can be done with a trailer

Mounting the frame

It can be lifted on by a couple of people but easier if you have an engine crane, try and get the frame balanced evenly from the crane

Protecting frame during the build

Ebay or Amazon can be used to source pool noodles to protect the frame during the build

Torquing bolts

This can be used if the service manuals don't give a figure for the nut you are trying to tighten

What additional bolts do I need

The kit supplies bolts to attach the chassis to the sub frame however this page will contain additional bolts that are required (will add to list as build progresses)

4 bolts to connect Gaz coilovers to the chassis M12 x 1.25mm thread length 40mm

2 longer bolts to replace existing bolts holding front brake calipher to sub frame M12 x 1.25mm thread length 50mm

Also require something to pack out space between wing stay and sub frame approximately 0.85 mm, you can use the washers from the seat belt to do this

2 longer bolts to replace existing bolts holding rear brake calipher to sub frame M10 x 1.25mm thread lenght 40mm, get ones with 14mm flanged head to enable fitting socket to tighten
